Overview
The Zhongshan Ophthalmology Center of Sun Yat-sen University is a (managed) hospital of the National Health Commission. It is the first modern ophthalmology center in my country that integrates medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, and prevention and treatment of blindness. It has continuously won the reputation rankings of Chinese hospital Junior College and the value of science and technology. The ranking ranks first in ophthalmology in the country.
Zhongshan Eye Center is the most internationally influential ophthalmology institution in China. It is the only ophthalmology cooperative institution of the World Health Organization (WHO) in China, the headquarters of the Asia-Pacific Ophthalmology Society (the first international medical academic organization in mainland China), and the National Ophthalmology Research Alliance of China, Britain and the United States.
