Overview
Foshan is one of the four ancient towns in China and has a long reputation for traditional Chinese medicine. Foshan Hospital of traditional Chinese Medicine, founded in 1956, is a large-scale modern Chinese medicine hospital of Grade 3A, which integrates medicine, teaching, research and rehabilitation. It is a network hospital of international emergency rescue center and a treatment unit of China trauma treatment alliance. It has passed the certification of national advanced chest pain center and national advanced stroke center. It is a national qualification examination base for TCM practitioners and a national standardized training base for residents; it is the construction unit of the South China Regional Traditional Chinese Medicine Diagnosis and Treatment Center (Bone Injury) of the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the non-directly affiliated hospital of Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and the Eighth Clinical Medical College of Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine; it is a national post-doctoral research workstation and a doctoral workstation in Guangdong Province.
The hospital has successively won the titles of "national advanced collective of health system", "national advanced collective of emergency work of traditional Chinese medicine", "national medical center of orthopedics and traumatology of traditional Chinese medicine", "national advanced unit of hospital culture construction", "civilized hospital of Guangdong Province", and "famous hospital of traditional Chinese medicine" in Guangdong Province.
